A capacity crowd of friends supporters and members of the New Generation Club, came to celebrate the first Annual Gala Fundraiser on Sept 7th, 2013.
The Keynote speaker was a crowd favorite and one of our biggest supporter the Late Metropolitan Philip Saliba the late Metropolitan of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church of North America. His message of unity, charity and a promise to stand fast and strong against what is happening in his beloved Syria rallied the crowd. In one of his last public appearance his late eminence was once again amongst his friends of all religions of all walks of life. Live entertainment and a generous raffle concluded the event. All donations benefited the children in our homeland through the Health and Social Care Institute in Lebanon.

The Keynote speaker was the Honorable Majdi Ramadan Consul General of Lebanon. hundreds of supporters from all over the United States attended this wonderful event. Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, Palestinian and Iraqi from all walks of life and different religious backgrounds shared in the event. They enjoyed the live entertainment of one of Lebanon's premier singer, Mr. Moein Sherif. Moein who considers himself a close friend of our organization and shares our secular beliefs for a better society, provided his services pro bono. His only reward was the delightful applause and gracious thanks of the crowd. Everyone felt at home and our expectations were well exceeded.

The NGC in collaboration with the Staten Island Museum hosted Adel Daher Phd, and Aseel Sawalha Phd, for an interactive and dynamic lecture over cocktails. Dr. Daher presented a "Case for Secularism in our community", while Dr. Sawalha presented "The art Scene In an Arab Capital, how women refugees are impacting Society in Amman" Both Professors are renowned experts in their field, they shed some lights on many issues, and enriched a capacity crowd at the Staten Island Museum.
